Acceptable use policy

What you may and may not do with a DrexTV subscription: permitted personal viewing, prohibited redistribution and credential sharing, connection-limit rules, and the enforcement steps we take when a policy is breached.

Last reviewed 2 September 2026

Purpose

This policy sets out what a DrexTV subscription may be used for. It exists for two reasons. The first is legal: we cannot operate a platform without clear rules about redistribution and misuse. The second is practical: a small number of accounts abusing the service degrade capacity for everyone else, and peak-hour capacity is the thing our customers actually pay for.

This policy forms part of our terms of service. Breach may result in suspension or termination without refund.

Permitted use

Your subscription permits personal, private viewing by you and the members of your household, on your own devices, up to the number of simultaneous connections included in your plan.

That includes watching on any supported device — televisions, streaming sticks, set-top boxes, computers, phones and tablets — and watching while travelling, whether that is a hotel room, a holiday rental or another country. You may install player applications on as many devices as you like; the limit applies to how many streams play at once, not to how many apps exist.

You may use the 7-day catch-up function and the on-demand library freely within the same personal-viewing scope.

Credential sharing

Your credentials are personal to you and constitute your access to the service. You must not publish, sell, resell, trade, lend or otherwise distribute them.

Specifically prohibited: posting credentials in forums, messaging groups, social media, comment sections, paste sites or file shares; selling access to third parties outside our reseller programme; and distributing credentials across multiple households.

Sharing a subscription within a single household is expected and permitted — that is what the add-on connections are for, and installing on every screen in the home is fine. What is not permitted is one subscription serving several separate households, which is a form of resale.

If your credentials leak, tell us. Email support@drextv.com and we will regenerate them immediately and at no charge. Reporting a leak is never held against you; discovering an unreported one is treated very differently.

Redistribution and rebroadcast

You must not redistribute, retransmit, rebroadcast, publicly perform, publicly display, upload, stream onward or otherwise make available any content accessed through the service beyond your own personal viewing.

This includes restreaming to a social platform, streaming site or private server; capturing content and uploading it anywhere; embedding streams in a website or application; screen-sharing content to a group over a video meeting; and running a stream-relay or proxy service on top of your subscription.

Recording for your own later personal viewing, using a player's recording feature, is not prohibited. Distributing a recording is.

Technical restrictions

You must not attempt to circumvent, disable or interfere with any technical limit or protection in the service. That includes systematically evading connection limits, tampering with authentication, extracting or scraping stream URLs for use outside a normal player, and reverse-engineering our API for purposes other than connecting a standard player application.

You must not attack, probe, scan or stress-test our infrastructure, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any server, panel or account, or introduce malicious code into any part of the service.

You must not use automated tools to open large numbers of concurrent sessions, cycle through channels programmatically, or generate load beyond ordinary human viewing. This is the clause that protects peak-hour capacity for everyone else, and we enforce it strictly.

Content and legal responsibility

We provide platform access and technical support. We are not a broadcaster and we are not a rights holder, and we hold no affiliation with, endorsement from or connection to any broadcaster, television network, sports league, federation, film studio, production company or subscription streaming platform. All trademarks remain the property of their owners.

Laws governing the reception of broadcast content differ substantially between countries and sometimes between states or provinces. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service complies with the law applicable to you. If you are uncertain, take local legal advice before subscribing — we are not qualified to advise you and will not pretend otherwise.

If you hold rights in content and believe it is being made available in a way that infringes them, our copyright and takedown policy explains how to notify us and how we respond.

Commercial and public premises

Standard subscriptions are for private household viewing and are not licensed for public or commercial display. Showing content in a bar, restaurant, café, hotel lobby, gym, barbershop, waiting room, office, place of worship or any other public or commercial premises is outside the scope of a standard subscription.

Public performance of broadcast content generally requires separate commercial licensing from the rights holder concerned, which is a matter between the premises and that rights holder. We cannot grant such a licence and do not purport to.

For multi-property or multi-room deployments — a hotel, a serviced-apartment operator, a multi-unit residential landlord — contact sales@drextv.com so we can discuss the appropriate arrangement rather than you relying on a consumer plan.

Adult content and parental controls

The adult content package is disabled by default on every account and is only enabled on explicit request by the account holder. If you never ask for it, it never appears in your channel list.

Where it is enabled, the account holder is responsible for ensuring that minors cannot access it. Every recommended player application supports a parental PIN and per-category locking, and we strongly recommend setting one in any household with children. Profiles restricted to the kids and family sections of the on-demand library are also available in most players.

Requesting removal of the adult package at any time takes one message to support and is applied immediately.

How we enforce this

We monitor for abuse patterns rather than for individual viewing. What we look at is connection behaviour: an account presenting sessions from many geographically dispersed IP addresses simultaneously, automated channel cycling, session counts inconsistent with household use, and credential appearances in public places.

Our normal sequence is proportionate. Where behaviour looks inadvertent — for example a pattern that may indicate leaked credentials rather than deliberate sharing — we contact you first, explain what we are seeing and give you the opportunity to respond or to have credentials regenerated. Where behaviour is clearly deliberate and serious, particularly credential resale, restreaming or an attack on our infrastructure, we suspend or terminate immediately and without refund.

We do not monitor, log or profile what individual customers watch for any purpose other than delivering the stream and diagnosing faults, and connection logs are deleted after 30 days. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what we hold.

Appeals

If your account is suspended and you believe the decision is wrong, email support@drextv.com with your account email and any explanation you can offer. We will tell you what behaviour triggered the action and review it properly.

We do get this wrong occasionally — a customer travelling between countries, or a large household with several devices, can present a pattern that superficially resembles sharing. Those cases are reinstated quickly once explained, and we would rather have that conversation than lose a legitimate customer.
